Greetings Earthlings

I must have been abducted by aliens b/c I am having a great day.
Isn't it amazing how one child can change the make up of a class. All
year I ahve had a fairly good class. I had one problem child, one hot
tempered, and one silly. Well, I got the problem child to settle down
and the rest just seemed to fall in place. Then In January I got my
runner. I love her to death, she is just one of the children that tug
at your heartstrings and you just try to do everything in your power to
help. I was her third teacher this year and this was the third home
she had been in this year. So the whole running away thing was
understandable. She has mostly calm down about the running. But she
has been so disruptive in class. She refuses to work, goes to play
with anything she wants, and tries to yell and scream (ear piercing
scream) if you make her do work or move your attention to something
else. She hates leaving the room. She does not like recess, PE, Music,
Art, or Media Center. SO in the short time she has been in my room she
has turned it upside down. She has gotten my problem child, my hot
tempered child, my silly child, and a little follower all stirred up.
So life in my class has been interesting to say the least.
So back to my GREAT day! My runner had a great morning. She did all
her work, did not talk to anyone or play with anyone. She followed the
rules and was just great. Everyone settled into a great pattern and
life was back to the good ol' days. It has been wonderful. I am
almost afraid to say it has been a good day! I will see what tomorrow
will bring.
