Party!

OK! I am having a party at my house 9/2. Well, not really. Everyone can meet at my place. Then we can go see the movie Aristocrats across the street. After that I think dinner would be in order. Maybe at pasta luna or the Mexican place right there. I have no idea times yet. I will keep you posted as it becomes clearer.

I got to be a Vet Tec for the day.

Well kinda. I went to work with Mrs.A. I got to watch as the real vet tecs worked. I watched them do x-rays, clean teeth, put cats under, and an ultra sound. It was so much fun. I was amazed that as a tec they do so much. Who knew? I was glad it was a slow day. I even got to see an old friend from high school. RRR and his girlfriend brought in two cute kittens. It was great to see him. All the people over there were great. I even meet someone who knitted. wow small world. I enjoyed every minute of it. Although, I wish I had thought to bring a cammra. I have to say it was so much fun but I am glad I do not have to do that everyday. Not only would I have more animals then I would know what to do with; I enjoy my summers off.
So this week I get to go spend a day digging in the woods. That should be fun!
I will have some pictures to post soon of my day on the river. I swam 2 times. I was not happy with myself. The first time I should not have swam. I should have done my roll. I need to pratice my hip snap. Damn! Next time I will not swim. You hear me, I WILL NOT SWIM. I am going to do my roll!
By the way I love Tivo! I get to watch all sorts of things. I need to get cable! And a Tivo!
Right now I am watching 4400. I am enjoying this show. I also get to watch Buffy and Angel. It is sad, I watched Buffy from begining to end. I could have done without the last season when it moved from the WB back to UPN. I watched Angel for only the first two seasons.So now I am so lost. When did Freddie become blue? And her dating Wesley? damn!
So, Lanie and I are going to get up early and join 2,000+ people tring to get a $50 computer. Hell, I better get a damn computer.
Hey, I need to thank Pharph and Lanie. They took over my site and made it so pretty! I love the purple fish! I teased Lanie about being my personal asst. She just goes above and beyond sometimes.
News of the good kind...
My kids are coming home Friday! I can not wait to see them even if my son is now hairless. Long story about how the asshole can not stand up and be a real dad. Sorry, It has been a long 3 weeks.

Me knitting?! What great fun!

So here it is in the middle of the night and I am hoping this computer will not crash. I have been unable to blog b/c my computer is frustrating me by freezing up on me. I have gotten to the point where I want to throw it across the room. I however am hopeful I have corrected the problem. And to think Lanie wants to stand in line for a $50 ibook on Tuesday. RIR is going to be a mad house and I am taking Lanie down there. Am I crazy or what?!
So I have so much to tell you my loyal readers. (all 5 of you) Let see I am going to start with easiest one.

I started knitting over the summer. I needed a hobby and Laine is always doing stuff with it. I also have some other friends at school who knit.
I thought, "Well, I could teach myself over the summer while the kids are gone."
And I am! I have practiced on this crapy yarn and when I got the knit stitch down and somewhat the purl (Lanie help me wrap the right way!) I went with Lanie and got some yarn. I now had a project. A scarf. I have finished it! and It feels great to have it out of the way!
I also got yarn to do a booga bag. I have started that one. Again I had to have Lanie show me how to pick up stitches. I do not know what I was doing but I ended up with a bunch more than I needed. So far that is going good.

I am not sure what I can do after this. I need an easy project to do. I need to learn to increase and decrease, i have a pattern for a pretty sweater I want to try after I have a another project or two under my belt. Any one have any suggestions?
This is what you can look forward to in my next blog. I went to work with Mrs. A and a vet clinic for the day last Tuesday. I will post my experiences tomorrow. I had a great time!
