Ready! Set! Wait!

Thanksgiving went well. We did everything here. Sean's dad and his girlfriend came over. We had so much food. Although, it did not take much time to do the actual cooking. I am very surprise the food all got done round the right time and we got to eat it at the same time. Rather than little here and 20 minuets later another little something. My hubby did a great job. We are definitely going to write down the times recipes and everything together to do it again. We ended up with turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, fruit salad, fresh cranberries, green beans, bread, and 2 pies. Wow! It was good!
On the baby front, we are ready and waiting. not much more to do. I think I am still very upset that the doc stopping my labor last week. Because even though, I was full term it was still too early. My body was ready and so was I. Well, my birthday is this week. And I really wanted to have her before I was 36. I had told my hubby that after 36 I was not going to have anymore babies. I was done. Well, when we stopped God had another idea. SO now she will come after I am 36. Just because... best laid plans of mice and men...
We went to the Lewis Genter Light thingy yesterday. Mr. A had art work on display, so we got in free. We go every year. It is so nice to walk around and watch the kids run in the mazes and looking in awe at the lights. It was neat too to watch Mr. A tell us all about the plants he learned about on a field trip there at the end of the year last year. I will post pictures later. They did not come out to well. I will have to wait to see what I can fix and what Sean can do with them. to make them look good.
I will let you know when the little miss makes her entrance. Until then, keeping sending me those vibes that my water had broken and maybe it will.

Baby AL Is No Longer A Baby

WOW! Was it really 2 years ago that Baby AL was born. I can no longer call him a baby. He is potty training. And is trying not to wear anything but underwear. He is showing his independent side a little too often. He is getting to be such a big boy!
He enjoyed Halloween. Although, he can not eat any of the candy he got. I should have sent it with my nephew. He came with us and it was so much fun. My son wanted to walk with Aunt Ashley and her son wanted to walk with me! At one point my nephew want to hold hands with Baby AL. So they just walked around with each other. It was so cute!

The big kids were great! They agreed ahead of time that they would walk with the family and not with friends so we did not have to worry about any of that. Turned out to be a good thing. The 5th grade parents in the neighborhood let the kids go together as a group without parents. I was not comfortable doing that. I just do not trust the decision process for a 9/10 year old. Not with all the crazy people around on Halloween. We dodge the bullet this year, we will have to deal with it again next. Ms. G was Wednesday Adams and Mr. A was Werewolf. Everyone made a comment to them when they got to the door for trick-or-treating. Mr. A even scared this poor old lady. She jumped so high I saw felt sorry for her.

Baby AL turned 2 yesterday. So now he needs to be my Little AL. Which is a good thing with the baby coming. I still can not believe he is so big. He loves everything he got. Some Thomas the Train stuff, Dinosaurs, Monster Cookie ( what he calls him), and a tricycle. He has been playing nonstop with all of them. He put the dinos in the trike and blew the horn yelling "all aboard! Dinosaur Train! Hoo! Hoo!" He then rode around the family room blowing the horn. I would have pictures to post but NONE turned out clear. They are all blurry. The flash broke on the camera and now we can not take pictures. We need to get that fixed!
The Big kids are away at winter camp for TKD. I am a little worried. They have never been away from a parent for the weekend. They go down to the nuts for the weekend but they are with him. They camp but are with Sean or myself for scouts. So this is either going to be great for them or absolutely miserable. We will see.
We are just waiting for baby L to arrive. She is due in early December. But I am considered full term now so it really could be any day now. We are mostly ready. My hubby still has to wash the baby seat down. It was sitting in the garage for a year so I want him to actually wash it before we put her in it.
I am a little worried about the labor and delivery. I know I have done this many times before. BUT.... I am a wimp. I did it without any pain meds for the others, now I feel I have to do it with this one. What if she takes forever like Little AL? I do not know if I could handle that. I know in the end it will all turn out right. I am just a worry wort.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I will let you know when Baby L make her debut.

less than 6 weeks to go!

ok Actually it is 8 weeks until my "due date" but I am not going past my birthday. So in 6 weeks I will be considered full term! I want to be able to eat thanksgiving dinner and then go in but we will see when baby L thinks she is ready for the world.
I am so happy that my hubby has signed us up to go see the tour of the hospital. I was very worried about this. I will be delivering in a different hospital this time because I switched Doctors. I am back to my old doctor but she switched practices and hospitals. He also signed up for a review classes so that we can "be ready" for labor and delivery. As ready as I can be. I am a little worried that this will be the longest and hardest. So far as each child has been longer and harder labor. Ms. G was born one hour after I reached the hospital. Mr. A was born just an hour or two after they broke my water. Baby AL was born 3/4 hours after they broke my water. So baby L will be born 4/5 hours. I don't do well with pain I am not so sure I will be able to handle 5 hours. I think she will be my most difficult yet.
We still have some things to do but for the most part we are ready. Stuff wise that is. Not so sure about the physical yet. Soon I will be. I guess I should say sooner or later; ready or not she will be here in less than 2 months.

Wow fall is already here!!

It's been a while, I know. Life has been hectic. Lots to do in the house! I ended up switching doctors because the one I had at the beginning of my pregnancy was not listening to me at all. SO I went back to Dr. Weatherford. She delivered Baby AL! I am so happy to have her as my doctor again. I am actually felling much better and I am having a great pregnancy so far. I only have about 6-8 weeks left!
Sean has been working hard. Going to Boston a little much but.... when the boss wants ya; the boss wants ya! He got a Directors Award!!! Go SEAN! other than that he has been doing well. He needs to do Tea Kwon Do more but so do we all!
Ms. G is in 5th grade! WOW! She is growing up! She is in advance classes this year! She loves her teacher. Although, she hates her Math teacher. I think she is more scared of her Math teacher than really hates her. She is also hating spelling. I don't blame her. I still hate spelling! I am just trying to make her understand she still has to try in spelling, she just can not give up.
Mr. A seems to be doing well for now. He has a good teacher. We will see in a few weeks if he really is doing well. For the most part he is enjoying going to school. Hopefully that will not change when it starts to get harder. He did get 3 stitches (really needed more but...) at the nuts house. I do not blame the nut for this. Mr. A was just being himself. He fell into the fireplace and hit his head. I just hated getting that call... your child is 5 hours away and is heading to the hospital. Ok granted, it turned out to fine but I do not trust the nut to take care of the kids. So I was not dealing real well with it.
Baby Al has been sick. He ended up in the hospital for a few days because of pneumonia. It came on really quick. It started with my cold I had had for a few weeks. Within a few days he was really sick. I am a little upset with the Kid Med place we went to first because of his breathing. They just stabilized him and sent him back home. When I took him into the doctor the next day, they wanted him admitted. I only took him in to his doctor because I wanted to know why Baby AL was having problems breathing. And the Kid Med place really did not address it. It turns out he probably should have been admitted to the hospital the night before. Oh well, he is doing well now.
I guess that is it for now. You are mostly caught up on my life. oh wait, did I tell you? I am having a girl! We are very excited and almost ready! I will go through pictures and post some soon I promise.

March and April

SO I posted on facebook about being sick and not needing surgery and everyone keeps asking so I will give you the water down story here.
In march I had the most screwed up period. I was days late but not I was not pregnant. (all the test including the one the dr. did said so!) Then I ended up in really bad pain in my lower back. I ended up going to the doctor. Did a bunch of test nothing conclusive. Thought I might be going through some pre-menopause stuff. So with the knee surgery for hubby and a long weekend at the mountains, and the fact that my period did come for about 4 hours one day here and another 4 hours two days later, I did not think much of it. I am just getting older.
Then in April I took another test. I was getting ready to spar for tournament. This time it came back positive. Holly crap! ok, so I don't spar at the Tournament! Cool!
Then at tournament I started my period. Ok first I wasn't pregnant but no period then I am with an early period.
I ended up at the doctor again. I was pregnant they just did not think I was going to carry. It might be another ectopic. That would mean surgery to remove my left ovary and Fallopian tube.
They kept poking me and monitoring me. Then I started to get real sick. To the point I was losing weight. So they gave me some meds. and thought I actually might have a viable pregnancy. So about a week and a half ago I got the official word, it is a viable pregnancy and there is only one. Some people were thinking it might be twins because of the hormone levels.
I still have a missed shaped left ovary. (Which is why my hormones are way off the chart and I am so sick.) Which could be nothing.
The bottom line is....We will not know anything for a bit on the ovary front. For right now, Healthy, sick, and very tiring pregnancy. I am due in December.
BTW... I did the post on facebook because I had not posted anything in a while (like over a month) and some people knew I was going through some stuff early on they just never got the update. It is funny my mother who is not on facebook called and yelled at me for not telling her there could be surgery. What a very short term memory she has. It was a little over a week ago I found out this was a good viable pregnancy. What did she think was going to happen?! Oh yeah! I forgot she kept telling everyone even though we were not sure everything was going to be alright. Maybe she really did not think that it would end in a surgery!

Sick, SIck, & More SIckness

Between the GI bug that has hit the family, the flu that is now hitting the family, and allergy attacks from people not reading and just giving my son food. We have been in a lock down around my house. Ms. G is starting to feel better. She has the flu and 103.6 temperature. She has been out of school all week. She has a lot to do for make up work. This shirt Baby AL has on is a great shirt. It comes from www.allergyapparel.com and is a great idea. Although, it only works for people reading the shirt. My mother-in-law did give him a green bean with butter on it. We had to stop her before she gave any more. Then the very next week, she cooked the entire meal with butter that he can not have. She thought he could have Parky. He had a major reaction to it. Thank goodness we did not have to use the epipen. He is feeling better today.

Crazy 2009!

I think that 2009 is going to be crazy. So far it has been nothing but running trying to do this and that. It did not help that the kids have all gotten sick and Grace tried to break her nose. Sean being in DC for 2 weeks did not help the situation at all. Now I find out he will gone for 3 weeks in Feb.
So Crazy is the only way to describe the household right now.
Right now I am dealing with Baby AL throwing up. This after 3 days of diarrhea. I hope he gets better soon. I hate that he is so sick. I feel so helpless. He can not tell me what is wrong. :( I have taken him into the doctor but right now there is not much more we can do but wait. I just hope he starts eating again soon.
Mr. A is doing great in second grade. His spelling is just like mine so that is the only thing he needs to work on. Ms. G has straight A's! Go Girl! She is on the TKD demo team! she has been working hard. She will be at the Kids Expo on the 28. Come check her out!
ok I have a new picture or two in a few.
